About Reva Diana
I’m fascinated with human anatomy and drawing the figure from life. I seek to ground my figure drawings with a solid foundation of anatomical knowledge. Constant experimentation is both part of the creative process but also a way to avoid attachment. The more I explore, the more I draw on the dynamic play between chaos and order, between abstract and realism. Textured grounds provide the initial inspiration as more realistic forms emerge in the foreground.
I host figure drawing sessions around Calgary at various arts venues. To view the calendar of upcoming figure drawing sessions, visit Drawn To Life.
