This was my very first time playing with oils. She initially started as a regular portrait, but I fought with the layout because I felt the composition made her look a bit alien.  After sitting on my wall for about 6 months I realized fighting against the direction it was going was the wrong way to go. I went all in for the alien feel and ended up with this cyborg version of Jamie, one of my studio mates.
